Armed police raid at Heathrow: Train services suspended, arrests and tear gas reported

A serious incident unfolded on Sunday morning at London’s Heathrow Airport, forcing authorities to place Terminal 3 on lockdown

Newsroom December 7 12:06

According to the information available so far, the incident took place in the multi-storey parking facility of Terminal 3, where police, fire services and ambulances are currently deployed. However, British media report that the situation is not linked to terrorism or any form of protest.

The area has been sealed off. Drivers remain trapped inside their vehicles after receiving strict orders not to exit them. Bus drivers inside the airport grounds received similar instructions.

Transport Disruptions

As a result of the incident, Heathrow’s tunnels were closed, while traffic on the M4 motorway was suspended. Services on the London Underground and the Elizabeth Line were also halted, causing major disruption for passengers.

Videos circulating on social media show armed officers searching the parking structure, though it remains unclear what exactly they are looking for. There are reports of arrests, but no official confirmation or details on the number or reason.

A Heathrow Airport spokesperson confirmed that this is an “ongoing incident” in the Terminal 3 multi-storey car park. The airport is cooperating with emergency services, and official information is expected.
