Hungary today signed a contract with the US to deliver 400 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year, the Hungarian Foreign Minister said.
“This means that in the next five years, two billion cubic metres of US LNG will arrive in Hungary,” he added via a post on the social media platform X.
“Today, we reached an important milestone in U.S.-Hungarian energy cooperation by signing a contract for 400 million cubic meters of LNG per year.
This means that over the next five years, two billion cubic meters of US LNG will arrive in Hungary.
We are interested in buying energy from as many sources and through as many routes as possible, ensuring the lowest prices.”
