What the farmers decided in Nikaia: They will close the Tempe tunnels to trucks tomorrow

On Tuesday, they will provide one additional traffic lane, beyond the emergency lane, in order to facilitate the passage of travelers, while trucks will move only via bypass roads

Newsroom December 21 01:10

The farmers determined their next steps during the general assembly held in Nikaia.

According to the decisions taken, tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. the farmers will proceed with blocking the Tempe tunnels to truck traffic by lining up their tractors, while private cars and buses will be allowed to pass freely. From Tuesday onward, the farmers decided that, in addition to the emergency lane that is already open, they will open one more lane in each direction for travelers (private cars and buses), but will not allow the passage of trucks, which will be diverted to alternative routes.
