The Greeks of Istanbul took to the streets of Istanbul to sing carols.
Outside the Greek consulate, students and teachers from Zographio Lyceum were among those who joined in the Christmas festive atmosphere.
The event is an effort to keep the tradition alive, with participants exchanging wishes and passing on the spirit of Christmas.
The Consul General of Greece in Istanbul, Konstantinos Koutras, wished “Merry Christmas and many years of health and progress” and expressed his great emotion for the opportunity to celebrate with the Greek community.
For the security of the event, there was an escort by the Turkish authorities.
