‘We lost an angel, she will be dressed as a bride,’ said Christina’s father, who lost her life in Ano Glyfada

Family and community mourn Christina, a dedicated teacher and mother, lost tragically in the floods that turned streets into rivers

Newsroom January 23 07:04

A few meters from her home was the 56-year-old woman who tragically died in Ano Glyfada, at a time when the streets had turned into “rivers” due to the heavy rainfall caused by the bad weather on Wednesday. Christina was a mother of one child and was swept away by the torrent, trapped under a car, and lost her life.

The 56-year-old was a teacher at a tutoring center, with a father of a student saying all the children loved her. At the same time, her father says the family lost “an angel.”

“We lost an angel. Why? Why? Why? Because of what happens, the fires, the floods, Tempi. Some people are to blame, and young people are lost. I am old, it doesn’t matter to me. An angel is lost, I speak to you with all honesty. I will dress her in white. I will arrange everything, we will dress her as a bride because she was an angel, and we will take her to Ritsona on Monday. Ask in Glyfada about Christina. How creative she was, how many children she helped, how many children she helped get into universities. She was an amazing philologist. She loved her job,” said the 56-year-old’s father to MEGA.
