PAOK is experiencing another profound tragedy, mourning the loss of seven young supporters who lost their lives in a road accident in the city of Lugoj, Romania.
After contacting the Greek government to ensure that all possible assistance would be provided, Ivan Savvidis issued the following statement:
“An unspeakable tragedy struck us today. I am devastated by the deeply unjust loss of young people—supporters of our beloved team—who were traveling to stand by PAOK.
May God rest their souls. These children, the children of PAOK, are our children. They are members of a great family. And we do everything for our family—we leave no one alone.
My thoughts are with their loved ones. I pray that all goes well for those who were injured and who are fighting a critical battle in these hours.”
