Metro, buses and electric railway tomorrow (28/2): Public transport services for the Tempi anniversary, detailed timetables

Public transport workers will take part in the protests marking three years since the disaster – The Metro stations “Syntagma” and “Panepistimio” will remain closed from the start of service, with trains passing through without stopping

Public transport workers will also participate in the strike actions marking the third anniversary of the Tempi tragedy tomorrow, Saturday, February 28.

Railway – Suburban Railway

No services will operate on the country’s rail network, including the Suburban Railway.

Metro and Electric Railway

Metro Lines 2 and 3 will operate from 9:00 a.m. throughout the day, and the regular late-night service on Saturday night will also take place. Metro services to and from the Airport will run normally from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and for the rest of the day.

By order of the Hellenic Police, the Metro stations “Syntagma” and “Panepistimio” will remain closed from the start of service at 9:00 a.m., with trains passing through without stopping.

Metro Line 1 (ISAP) “Kifisia – Piraeus” will operate from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The last trains will depart:
from Kifisia and Piraeus at 20:35,
from Monastiraki towards Kifisia at 20:51 and towards Piraeus at 21:09,
from Omonia towards Kifisia at 20:54 and towards Piraeus at 21:07,
from Attiki towards Kifisia at 20:59 and towards Piraeus at 21:02.

Tram

Tram services will gradually begin at 9:30 a.m., while vehicles will start to be gradually withdrawn from circulation at 7:00 p.m. The late-night Tram service on Saturday night will not take place.

Detailed first and last Tram services are as follows:

Tram Line 7:
the first train will depart from Asklipieio Voula at 09:29 and the last at 19:14,
the first train will depart from Akti Poseidonos at 09:56 and the last at 19:41, and
the last train will depart from Akti Poseidonos towards Agios Kosmas (2nd stop) at 20:19.

Tram Line 6:
the first train will depart at 09:22 and the last at 19:34,
the first train will depart from Fix at 10:01 and the last at 20:13.

Tram Lines 6 & 7 (with transfer at Pikrodafni):
the first train will depart from Fix towards Asklipieio Voula at 10:01 and the last at 19:37,
the first train will depart from Asklipieio Voula towards Fix at 09:29 and the last at 19:00,
the first train will depart from Akti Poseidonos towards Fix at 09:56 and the last at 18:56,
the first train will depart from Fix towards Akti Poseidonos at 10:01 and the last at 19:01.

Buses – Trolleybuses

Buses and trolleybuses are expected to operate normally; however, there is a possibility that individual drivers may strike, taking part in the 24-hour strike announced by the GSEE and the Athens Labour Centre.

Traffic adjustments to routes are also expected in the wider central Athens area due to the scheduled rallies.
