There are days that all look the same. They start early, in a rush, with reminders on our phones, with thoughts racing before we even get to work. A daily routine shared by many women balancing between different roles.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, on March 8, Interamerican Group chose to stand up to this reality through the campaign “Elevator Stories” which unfolds in the Piraeus Tower and is dedicated to its own protagonists: the women of the organization. Through everyday moments, it highlights not an abstract concept of empowerment, but the experience of working women and how a working environment that supports them is formed in practice. Because workplace culture is not a theory, but a way of operating that is reflected in everything from recruitment and development processes to the way we work together and communicate.

Through a chance encounter in the elevator, we recognize different realities coexisting in the same workplace: a female leader managing increased responsibilities at work and at home as a mother of two young children, a professional taking the next step in her career by taking on a more demanding role, and a new colleague on her first day at the company, opening a new chapter.

They are Vicky Antipariotis, Mobility & Convenience Claims Senior Leader, Ismeni Petratou, Senior Sales Account Manager (Group Insurance) and Irianna Voyatzi, Senior Underwriter in the Corporate & Special Risks Solutions team. Three different paths, one common thread. This is where the essential part of everyday working life lies: in cooperation, guidance, mutual support and a corporate culture that helps you achieve your goals.

Daily life in the workplace

For Interamerican Group, female empowerment is a strategic priority. Through mentoring programs, hybrid work, maternity support, equal opportunities for advancement, 50% representation of women in senior management positions and other initiatives, it shapes a work environment that is supportive of every employee.

And when a culture of support is real, it is not limited to the workplace. It is carried outside of it at every possible opportunity. On Friday, March 6, Interamerican Group employees joined forces with the Volunteer Forest Protection Aphids Association (VPA) in a symbolic tree-planting activity in celebration of International Women’s Day. And with every tree planted, intention turned into action and the concept of caring went beyond the boundaries of the office.

After all, Women’s Day takes on true meaning when it doesn’t just stay on one day on the calendar, but is reflected in the way you operate every day.
