The Ministry of Defense of Turkey announced in a statement that a ballistic missile launched from Iran and entering Turkish airspace was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense elements deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The statement said: “A ballistic missile launched by Iran that entered Turkish airspace was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense elements deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean.”
“All necessary measures are being taken with determination and without hesitation against any threat to our country’s territory and airspace, and discussions are underway with the country concerned to clarify all aspects of the incident. With our national security as a priority, all developments in the region are being carefully monitored and assessed,” the same statement said.
