The dispute arose after Georgiadis appeared on a Mega TV show, discussing the My Health App, demonstrating that the system now allows insured citizens to book appointments with either NHS or EOPYY doctors without delays.
“How many appointments are there and when?” wrote Rena Dourou on X, arguing that contrary to Georgiadis’ claims and the video he presented, immediate availability does not exist.
“Stop the populism”
Her post prompted Georgiadis to respond with photographic evidence showing that insured patients looking for a gastroenterologist, as mentioned on his TV appearance, can book a free appointment tomorrow with either a contracted EOPYY doctor or a public hospital. “How much faster do you want? If you want, I can even find one for today,” he asked.
He also accused her of populism: “Stop your populism and admit that the NHS has never been better than it is today,” he wrote.
