An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale occurred on Wednesday evening (March 25) at Mount Athos.

According to the automatic solution of the Geodynamic Institute, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 8 km northwest of Karyes, with a focal depth of 5 km.

According to reports, the earthquake was felt in Thessaloniki and the Sporades islands.
