The former wife of 43-year-old Polish professor Przemysław Jeziorski, who had been accused of masterminding his murder in Agia Paraskevi, died by suicide last night in the women’s section of Korydallos Prison.

According to reports, the 43-year-old woman took her own life using bedsheets in the bathroom of her cell.

Sources from Protothema.gr also report that the woman left a note addressed to her children before ending her life.

The murder of the Polish professor took place in July 2025. Along with the 43-year-old woman, who was accused of being the instigator of the crime, four other individuals were arrested. Among them was the 35-year-old man with whom she was allegedly involved in a relationship and who was accused of carrying out the killing.

Their relationship began through a dating platform, quickly led to marriage, and was soon followed by the birth of their children. However, divorce followed, and the former couple ended up in court attempting to resolve their disputes. Then, on the afternoon of July 4, 2025, her new partner—an unskilled worker employed by her company—emptied his gun into the professor’s body. “So that Nadia, the children, and I could have a normal life,” he allegedly claimed.

The crime took place on the afternoon of July 4, 2025, on Irinis Street in Agia Paraskevi. The professor from UC Berkeley had come to Greece to see the children he had with his former wife, an economist by profession. He was murdered in cold blood shortly before he was due to pick up the two minors.

Jeziorski arrived in Athens on the eve of the hearing concerning the temporary injunction filed by his former wife regarding the children’s trip to the United States, and he attended the court proceedings.

The following day, July 1, according to testimony given by his brother, they all had a meal together: the professor, Nadia, their children, the woman’s partner, and the partner’s 14-year-old son from a previous marriage.

On July 3, one day before the murder—which, according to the 35-year-old’s confession, he had already decided to carry out and for which he had obtained a firearm in the Omonia area—the court decision rejecting Nadia’s request for temporary measures was officially served on her.

According to his biography, the Polish professor had more than 15 years of experience in research and teaching and was regarded as a leading expert in quantitative marketing, industrial organization, and applied microeconomics.

As a professor, he had supervised more than 1,500 MBA and PhD students. His areas of specialization included consumer marketing, healthcare marketing, digital marketing, applications of artificial intelligence, and pricing.

He held a PhD in Economics from Stanford University, a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Warsaw.
