A 66-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, who are related, were arrested in Zephyri after police found a large quantity of stolen property in their possession.

They are facing charges including theft through distraction, receiving and disposing of proceeds of crime, violations of weapons legislation, and breaches of personal data laws. The case file also includes accomplices who are currently being sought by authorities.

According to police, at around midday on Thursday (June 25), accomplices of the suspects posed as employees of an electricity supply company and stole jewelry, cash, and a mobile phone from a woman in the area of Vari.
