Greece will find itself on the fringes of the Italian heatwave, with temperatures set to rise in the coming days, though not reaching extreme levels, according to protothema.gr meteorologist Giorgos Tsatrafyllias.

More specifically, today (15/7) generally clear weather is expected. From midday onward, very limited instability is forecast over mainland areas, mainly in mountainous regions. The maximum temperature will reach 36–37°C on the mainland, 35°C in the Dodecanese and Crete, and 34°C in the Ionian islands.

Winds will blow from northerly and northwesterly directions. In the Ionian Sea they will be light, while in the central and southeastern Aegean they will locally reach 7 Beaufort.

In Attica, sunny weather is forecast. Winds will blow from northerly directions at up to 5 Beaufort, and temperatures will range from 22°C to 35°C.

In Thessaloniki, clear weather is expected. Winds will be light in the Thermaic Gulf, while temperatures will reach 33°C.
