The Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) announced an extension until July 31, 2026 for the submission deadline of applications for financial support for fertilizer purchases. The extension concerns invoices issued between March 15 and June 30, 2026, with the aim of facilitating eligible producers.
According to the announcement, payments for the first period will be made by August 10, 2026. Two additional payment rounds will follow: one by August 31 for the second application period and another by September 25 for the third application period.
The announcement specifies that:
- For invoices issued between March 15 and June 30, 2026, applications must be submitted by July 31, 2026, provided that applicants were registered in the Register of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings (MAAE) by June 30, 2026.
- For invoices issued between March 15 and June 30, 2026, applications may also be submitted from August 5 to August 21, 2026, provided that applicants registered with the MAAE between July 1 and July 31, 2026.
- For invoices issued between July 1 and August 31, 2026, applications must be submitted from September 7 to September 17, 2026, provided that applicants were registered with the MAAE by August 31, 2026.
It is recalled that the financial support applies to individuals, legal entities and other legal organisations active in the primary agricultural production sector that meet the conditions set out in the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision.
The subsidy amounts to 15% of the net value of fertilizer purchase invoices, while the maximum amount of support cannot exceed €50,000 per business.
