U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are expected to meet in Washington on Tuesday, according to a White House official.
Earlier on Friday, Zelensky said that Ukraine had struck a military equipment company in the Russian city of Kirov, which manufactures components for aircraft and missile systems used in attacks against Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president also said that Ukrainian forces had hit an oil facility located about 1,350 kilometres away and reported successful strikes on Russian logistics facilities, without providing further details.
“Most importantly, the operation targeting Russian logistics facilities that supply the occupying army with drone components, navigation equipment and military hardware is ongoing,” Zelensky said in a post on Telegram.
