The popular French reggae band Dub Inc will be in Athens in a few days to perform a concert on September 12 at Gagarin 205.
Through their live performances, the group, formerly known as Dub Incorporation, has established itself in recent years as one of the pioneers of the French music scene, always bringing a fresh sound whenever they visit Greece.
Their “recipe,” which combines unique melodies with sincere lyrics about humanity, has allowed them to take their music beyond France’s borders — to Mexico, the United States, Portugal, Greece, Algeria, India, Australia, and elsewhere — and collaborate with internationally renowned artists such as Tiken Jah Fakoly, David Hinds, and Alborosie.
Moving between reggae, dancehall, Kabyle, and world music, the band is led by the voices of Bouchkour and Komlan, whose styles are as different as they are complementary. Whether they sing in French, English, or Kabyle, their message is universal: the importance and celebration of multiculturalism. Their energy on stage does the rest.
