Mitsotakis in Pieria: “No area is forgotten, everyone will have the same opportunities”

The PM visited the Municipality of Pydna-Kolindros and is taking part in a meeting on projects and infrastructure in the area

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlighted the importance of regional convergence and equal access for all citizens to opportunities and services during his visit to Pieria, stressing that for the government “there is no forgotten area”.

“I am talking about a Greece where all Greek women and all Greek men will have the same opportunities and access to the same services. For us, there is no forgotten area. That is why I attach enormous importance to regional convergence,” the Prime Minister said.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis was welcomed to the Municipality of Pydna-Kolindros by Mayor Christos Kompatsiaris, local residents and the three MPs representing the prefecture.

A meeting is being held at the town hall focusing on projects and infrastructure in the area, as part of the Prime Minister’s visit to Pieria. According to his schedule, he will then visit the Holy Monastery of St Dionysios on Mount Olympus, while at 5pm he will speak at an event in Litochoro marking the inclusion of Mount Olympus on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Later, the Prime Minister will visit the Cultural Centre and the Music School of Katerini, while a meeting with citizens in Katerini is scheduled for 7pm.
