“Together for Children”, in cooperation with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), is launching the new annual cycle of its innovative “STEM Education & Soft Skills” programme for the 2026–2027 school year at the Marasleio Teaching School.
Following the successful completion of the first cycle, the programme is continuing for another year, offering free participation to 48 students in the fifth and sixth grades of primary school and the first and second grades of lower secondary school, from 30 public schools across Attica.
The programme aims to introduce students to the fascinating world of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through hands-on and playful activities that combine theory and practice, focusing on empowering students in the fields of technology, science and digital skills as tools for solving real-world problems.
In addition, the programme places emphasis on developing 35 soft skills, such as cooperation, emotional management, decision-making and critical thinking, which contribute substantially to their self-confidence and social integration.
The students are divided into two groups (fifth- and sixth-grade primary school students and lower secondary school students) and participate in the programme free of charge, ensuring equal access to quality education. Classes will be held in the modern laboratories of the Department of Primary Education at NKUA’s Marasleio Teaching School, under the guidance of specialised educators and academic partners.
The programme is being carried out with the kind sponsorship of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and the GEK TERNA Group of Companies, while PEPSICO is providing juices for the students.
