According to the USGeology Survey, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit 18km off the coast of Otsuchi town in the Iwate prefecture, Japan, Sunday. There are no reports of damages or injuries and no tsunami warning has been issued. The centre was at a depth of 53km.
