50-Euro retroactive deductions on supplementary pensions

Pensioners will see their ancillary pensions slashed to 23 Euros!

In an effort to mitigate reactions by Greek pensioners that suffered huge cuts in their incomes, the government will send out 250,000 notices providing details on how the new re-evaluation of their pensions occurred. Many pensioners will see their supplementary pensions cut to just 23 Euros after calculating retroactive deductions. A minimum of 50 Euros will be withheld from pensioners eligible to receive ancillary pensions, the details of which will be posted in 80,000 notices via the postal services, while those that received retroactive refunds on their ancillary pensions -those receiving pensions over 2,000 Euros- will also be informed via notices that they will haver to pay the sums back. The sums will be withheld on a monthly basis in equal instalments.
