79th TIF: SYRIZA leader A. Tsipras to present budget program

Main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras met with TIF-Helexpo chief, workers associations and is critical that his speech won’t be telecast

Main opposition Coalition of the Left (SYRIZA) leader Alexis Tsipras visited the 79th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) on Saturday along with SYRIZA deputies and other officials. He met with the TIF-Helexpo management and Helexpo President Tasos Tzikas briefed him on this year’s TIF. Mr. Tsipras also met with representatives of the worker’s associations before touring the TIF’s pavilions.

At 7 p.m. Tsipras is due to address the SYRIZA political rally and present SYRIZA’s budget proposals. He will speek at the I. Vellidis Congress Hall in Thessaloniki, and he was critical of the government’s orders for his speech at the TIF to not be telecast on NERIT (Greek Public Radio and Television) and called this decision as “Prime Minister Antonis Samaras’ sponsorship.”
