People have spoken: Tsipras, Kammenos should implement memorandum

Tsipras managed to get mandate to implement the memorandum

Newsroom September 21 09:59

SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras is undoubtedly the big winner of Sunday’s elections, as he managed to mostly retain the voting percentage of his party at the same level as in January.

However, the number of people who voted for him showed a decline of 350,000 voters.

But, since numbers do matter, Tsipras, with the 36.34% he managed to receive, gets a clear mandate to again form a government with Independent Greeks (ANEL).

Tsipras convinced voters to give him a second chance, he managed to get mandate to implement the memorandum, something that no government had ever achieved to do since 2010.

Within two months, Tsipras managed to turn a “no” to memorandum into “yes” to the implementation of the third memorandum, with the promise that he will continue to fight inside and outside Europe so as to soften the most severe parts of it.

Also, his slogan to “get over with the old and the corruption” seems to have worked since these two slogans constitute the promise of social justice, equally distributing the cost of the Memorandum, punishing those who are responsible for the crisis.
