An explosive match seems to be going on right now in Brazil, between Nigeria and Argentina. The Nigerians are hoping for a win if they are to have any chance to follow the Argentinians in the knockout round.
Lionel Messi opened up the score with 0-1 on the 3rd minute with a second chance shot, but was quickly answered by Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa and a beautiful curved ball that evened out the score at 1-1 only 1 minute after Messi’s goal!
Messi continued with the impressive performance, sending a free kick in the top corner of the Nigerian goal, which was saved by the keeper. But he was not to be denied his goal. In another free kick a minute later, Messi swerved the ball past the defensive wall and sent it to the back of the net, a beautiful strike at the 47th minute, right before half-time.
An equalizer, just at the start of the second half, Ahmed Musa with a brilliant soft shot past the Argentinean keeper brings the two teams level.
The Nigerian joy wasn’t to last for long though as three minutes later, at the 50th minute, Marcos Rojo launched himself and sent a header past the goalkeeper, giving the lead to the South American team.
