Thousands of Athenians marched in Athens center on Sunday, joining millions of people around the world, in an effort to pressure politicians to come to a legally binding agreement at the Paris Climate Conference that runs from November 30 to December 11. Greece is being represented at the conference by leftist Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.

In Athens, people of all ages and from all walks of life gathered at Dionysiou Areopagitou Street at the foot of the Acropolis carrying placards and chanting slogans in favor of the environment, accompanied by live music. Together, they marched to Greek Parliament at Syntagma, calling for immediate decisions to address climate change and achieve a better future.
