Police have evacuated several buildings near London Bridge station in a security alert at 12:26pm today following reports of a suspicious item found at the address.

Specialist officers are at the scene to proceed to investigations.

According to witnesses the evacuation took place close to Hays Galleria, a popular shopping destination opposite London Bridge station.
