The Supreme Court Prosecutor’s Office is examining an appeal against the release of 17N member Giotopoulos

Greek newspaper, Eleftheros Typos, reports that deputies pensions need to be readjusted upwards retroactively from 2008 so as to be aligned with pay increases given by Law 3691/08 to judges because deputies’ pensions are  calculated in accordance with these.

Even though the government had appealed against the decisions issued by the court’s plenary, the active court opened the window to give retroactive increases through the three-member committee of the court whose decisions are enforceable immediately without the possibility of an appeal.
