Tzitzikostas’s statement interpreted as support for Mitsotakis’s candidacy

New Democracy's supporters do not need any guidance, they will decide according to their conscience

Newsroom January 5 12:28

Prefect of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas  during the press conference called the supporters of New Democracy to vote according to their conscience at the second round of the elections for ND leadership.

Mr. Tzitzikostas, though, talked about a “modern and open center-right party, which talks with again with the society” and a “New Democracy with a different way of thinking, a renewed one” referring in this way indirectly to Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

“New Democracy’s supporters do not need any guidance and party lines. They will decide according to their conscience. Their free will should not be manipulated and this should be respected by everyone and I should be the first one” said Mr. Tzitzikostas to reporters.
