Another case of nepotism in Greek government has been revealed with new Secretary of Youth of SYRIZA Iasonas Schinas-Papadopoulos appointing his entire family.

Mr. Schinas-Papadopoulos did not want to lose any time and immediately after being elected as the new Secretary of the youth of Syriza he appointed his brother and his mother in public sector, while his father works currently at the radio station of SYRIZA ‘Kokkino’.

The brother of Secretary of Youth of SYRIZA, Orestis Schinas-Papadopoulos, was appointed special consultant at Economic Office of the General Secretariat of the Prime Minister on December 1, 2015, just a week ago after Iasonas Schinas-Papadopoulos was elected secretary.

His mother, Xanthi Papadopoulou is a lawyer and member of the coordination team for Justice and the Central Committee of the party. She is also collaborator of Health Minister Andreas Xanthos. On September 29, 2015 was appointed special consultant to the political office of the minister, with whom she cooperated when he was a deputy minister of Health. Before the elections of September their cooperation was ended, but she was appointed again when Mr. Xanthos became Minister.

The father of Secretary of Youth of SYRIZA, Stathis Schinas, is an economic analyst at the radio station of SYRIZA ‘Kokkino’.
