An explosion was reported outside a shopping mall in the center of Stockholm on Tuesday evening.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Police rushed to the Mood shopping center around 17:30 GMT after witnesses saying that they heard a loud blast and saw a white flash.
“We have a damaged facade and a ruptured car window but we are not aware of any injuries to people. Obviously something has exploded but it doesn’t appear to be major damage,” said police spokeswoman Carina Skagerlind.
According to local media, police are inspecting a car in a tunnel near the mall since they suspect that a bomb has been planted in it.
Sweden’s security police raised the threat level to the second-highest level after the Paris attacks last yea that killed 130 people and injured hundreds.
