The government needs to have everything ready within the next fifteen days

Newsroom February 1 06:06

The refugee camps in Sindos and Schisto that the army will provide for the creation of relocation centres with total capacity of 8,000 persons will be open but guarded.

The Greek government has already started planning the construction works so as to convert quickly the camps into temporary reception centers. Initially, camps will host about 500 people, while they will be able to accommodate 4,000 more. However, it is still unknown when the refugees are to be transferred and when the camps will be fully operational.

According to reliable information, the government has instructed to accelerate the construction works so as to have everything ready within the next fifteen days, when EU summit on refugee and migration issue is scheduled to take place.
