A series of photos from the refugee camp at Idomeni in northern Greece captures the wretched conditions the people are living in. Over 12 thousand people are at the mercy of the nature’s elements. The camp has turned into a swamp after the recent deterioration of weather in the past 2 days. Refugees are forced to move their tents in the middle of the rainy night in an effort to find dry ground to set it up again. Even walking on the muddy terrain has become extremely hard. Young children wearing drenched clothes try desperately to find some warmth, while squabbling over a raincoat has become the norm. Amid these dramatic circumstances the Greek government is failing in it efforts to provide the aid necessary, while the rest of Europe turns a blind eye to the reality.
