The Greek Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens will open its doors to the faithful on Saturday, July 2 after 17 years of restoration to its facade and interior due to the 1981 and 1999 earthquakes in Attica. Visitors will no longer see scaffoldings in the Church’s yard.
