Special discounted air fares from the US to Greece of up to 40% are available by a number of commercial carriers from August to November. Airplane tickets from eight US states (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Huston, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Washington) to Athens, and in some cases Thessaloniki, are on offer by the following air line companies, according to website Conde Nast Traveller: United/Air Canada, Lufthansa/Aegean, Air Serbia, Turkish Airlines and Delta/KLM. The prices range between 555 US dollars to 672. In comparison, normal fares would be 950 US dollars for the same period. Here are some sample ticket fares to Athens (US dollars):
