72% of Venezuelans -surpassing 21 million people- do not have an adequate diet. In contrast, only 24.8% of citizens have adequate food consisting of proteins, carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits.
More Consulting polled more than 2,000 people to obtain these numbers, which revealed that nearly 48 percent of Venezuelans are not adequately nourished. The survey also showed that most people in Venezuela fear the possibility of running out of food, living under the worry of getting it. 88.9% have feared, at some point, of running out of food at home.
Nearly 53.9% of Venezuelans said that at least once, they have gone to bed hungry.
