Ealuxe.com, a site dedicated to providing information about the most luxurious and finest experiences life has to offer published recently a list of the most colorful beaches in the world.

Famous Red Beach in Santorini was ranked 4th among these amazing beaches, due to the unique color of its sand and its breathtaking natural beauty.

See the list here:

1. Rainbow Beach, Queensland, Australia
This beach was chosen as #1 because, as the name suggests, it features an unique, multicolored sand (a palette of 74 different hues of sand).

5. Les Sables Roses, French Polynesia
Its sands contain eroded coral and foraminiferal deposits, which sparkle in the sunlight.

5

6. Red Sand Beach, Hawaii
A beautiful beach with deep red-black sand, which contrasts with the green ironwood trees, the black sea wall and the blue water.

6

7. Barking Sands Beach, Hawaii
This beach was chosen as one of the world’s most colorful beaches, because of that mixture of colors from both the beach and the surrounding area.

7

8. Papakolea Beach, Hawaii
The beach features green sand from a mineral called ‘olivine’, a silicate mineral containing magnesium and iron.

8

9. Punalu’u Beach, Hawaii
Punalu’u Beach features black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean.
