Kathisma is also another stunning beach of Lefkada. It is located 15 km southeast of the main town, close to the village of Agios Nikitas and is one of the longest beaches on the island with fine white sand and sparkling waters of amazing turquoise colour. Surrounded by an exotic mountain backdrop, which is perfect for hand gliding (there are instructors ready to take you down the slope and experience the beautiful beach from above at affordable rates), it gives a feeling of solitude despite the buzzing tourist activity. Plenty of sun beds and umbrellas cover the huge area and various accommodations are found closeby.
