The alleged thief of Michael Schumacher’s medical files was found hanged in his cell on Wednesday.
According to early information, the man – who was not named – was working as a manager at a Swiss helicopter company which transferred Schumacher from Grenoble to Lausanne.
The theft of the former F1 champion’s medical files was revealed last month by his representative, who claimed that these documents were being sold across Europe for around 50,000 euros.
Regarding the athlete’s state of health, his wife, Corinna Schumacher, ‘broke’ her silence in July by sending a message of optimism, in her first public appearance after the accident.
More specifically, she said that her husband’s health is “getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it’s improving”.
The 45-year former racing driver suffered a serious head injury while skiing in December 2013. He was in the coma from 29 December 2013 until 16 June 2014. He has left the hospital in Grenoble for further rehabilitation at the University Hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland.
