Saudi tycoon spends his vacation on Crete

His arrival in Greece is considered of high importance as the Saudi tycoon has expressed interest in investing in the country

One of the world’s richest men, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, arrived in Crete to spend a week-long vacation in Elounda.

The Saudi Arabian tycoon is one of the major shareholders of Four Seasons and considered one of the most influential people in the world.

According to reports his arrival in Greece is considered of high importance as the Saudi tycoon has expressed interest in investing in the country, as well as taking over the management of the Asteras hotel complex in Vouliagmeni, as it was announced during the Economist conference in Athens.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal owns many stakes in private and public companies in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, mostly through Kingdom Holding Co.

He has stakes in News Corp, Citigroup, Apple, hotel management companies Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Movenpick Hotels & Resorts and Fairmont Raffles Holding, as well as hotel real estate such as the Hotel George V in Paris and Savoy Hotel in London.

According to Forbes magazine his fortune reaches 20,2 billion dollars and is ranked 32nd in the list of the richest people in the world.

In 2013, the prince Prince Alwaleed bin Talal sued Forbes arguing that the article included much inaccurate information and that his fortune is much bigger. Bloomberg estimates his fortune at 30.9 billion dollars.

His personal collection includes priceless jewelry, private aircrafts (a Boeing 747, an Airbus 321 and Hawker Siddeley 125) and two super yachts.

The wife of one of the most powerful man in the world, Ameera al-Taweel, draws the attention of international media both due to her external and internal beauty.

She is not wearing a hijab, she drives her own car and through Western media attempts to change the image of her country internationally.

The charming princess has a degree in Literature from King Saud University and Business Administration from the University of New Haven, Connecticut.

Among other things, Ameera al-Taweel has given many battles so as separated women of Saudi Arabia would not be obliged to grant custody of their daughters to former spouses, while she has campaigned to allow women lawyers to defend the accused in court.

She is also known for her charitable activities both in Saudi Arabia and around the world.
