7th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum to be held in Athens on November 27-28

The forum will give priority to the maritime and port industry, energy and construction, with the cooperation of relevant professional organizations

Newsroom September 4 06:18

The 7th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum will be held in Athens on November 27-28, 2018 under the title “Greece and the Arab World: A New Agenda for Development”.

Having successfully exited the crisis, Greece is looking forward to and aims at economic recovery, the announcement said. Some Arab countries have begun their exit from a long period of instability and turmoil and are moving towards rebuilding and modernizing their infrastructure, while others are pursuing a strategy of diversifying their resources to keep pace with new economic trends. All the above positive indications suggest a new agenda for future cooperation between Arabs and Greeks, focusing on the transfer of technology and know-how from Greece to the Arab world.

The forum will give priority to the maritime and port industry, energy and construction, with the cooperation of relevant professional organizations.

It aims to expand Arab participation in this year’s forum by including the Sultanate of Oman, Yemen, Somalia and Djibouti, as well as other Arab states, to enrich the consultations and networking. The programme will also include presentations and success stories of start-ups on both sides, as well as business meetings between visiting Arab businessmen and their Greek counterparts in all areas of interest.
