In a four-page feature article entitled “The fragrance of mint and brimstone,” Austrian Onrail magazine praises the unique landscapes of Milos, a volcanic island in the southern Aegean Sea which is well known for its extensive mineral deposits and fine beaches.
In its September-October issue, the travel magazine presents a comprehensive guide to the Greek island, which is described as an idyllic and romantic destination. The article makes specific reference to the stunning beaches and coves found in Milos and praises the hot springs in the island. It also includes recommendations on the best places to eat and the most interesting attractions.
Onrail magazine also mentions the amazing discovery of the Aphrodite of Milos statue, one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture. The statue was found by a Greek peasant in 1820 inside a buried niche within the ancient city ruins of Milos and it is currently on permanent display at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
