So far, the Jihadists of the Islamic State have taken over 16 villages on the outskirt of Al Ain Arab in northern Syria, while getting closer to the third biggest Kurdish city of the country.
In case that the Islamic State manages to take over Kobani (Al Ain Arab in Kurdish), it would be a great threat for the Kurdish areas of northeastern Syria.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Mr. Rami Abdel Rahman: “Fighters of the Islamic State in the last 24 hours launched a major attack and managed to take over at least 16 villages in the east and west of Kobani. They possess heavy weapons, artillery and tanks”.
