The 7th International Festival and Forum of Animation “animasyros” will be hosted in Ermoupolis on Syros island from 2-5 October.

Since 2008, the festival endorses the Cycladic sun and hosts screenings, tributes to international Festivals, speeches and forums where renowned Greek and foreign artists and professionals participate, workshops for students and elementary students, the ‘making of’ workshop that records every minute of the festival-, parties and other events.

However, visitors will have the opportunity to have a foretaste of Animasyros at the first pre-festival event that will be held on Monday at 19:00 at the Benaki Museum in Athens.

Mark Shapiro, representative of LAIKA animation studio in US, will be the honorary guest of the event with the support of the Embassy of the USA in Athens and he will present the new film Boxtrolls.
