Development and Competitiveness Minister Nikos Dendias met on Saturday with the board of the Alexandria Innovation Zone organization in Thessaloniki.

The focus of the meeting that was also attended by Macedonia-Thrace Minister George Orfanos, was the Thessaloniki Smart Up Innovation Hub program aiming to support 28 new businesses.

During the meeting, Mr. Dendias underlined that he supports the work of initiatives like the Alexandria Innovation Zone and wants to encourage them.

“Our goal is to create an ‘innovation ecosystem’ with the appropriate financing tools in order to promote a new entrepreneurship,” Mr. Deldias said.
