EU approves 4th package of sanctions against Russia – Abramovich is on the list

The 4th package of sanctions targets individuals and entities involved in the attack on Ukraine

Newsroom March 14 11:01

The French Presidency of the Council of the EU announced via twitter that the 4th package of sanctions against Russia was approved by the ambassadors of the EU countries (COREPER II).

In consultation with the EU’s international partners, the 4th package of sanctions targets individuals and entities involved in the attack on Ukraine, as well as several sectors of the Russian economy.

These measures will enter into force immediately.

COREPER II also approved a statement to the World Trade Organization (WTO) on the suspension of Russia’s favorable status as a member and the suspension of consideration of Belarus’ application to the WTO.
