Twitter ‘goes after’ Stefanos Tsitsipas after salary bribe post

The tennis player wrote a salary was a bribe to forget one's aspirations

Stefanos Tsitsipas has caused an uproar, once again, following a Twitter post where he said “A salary is a bribe they give you to forget aspirations”.

Many of his followers on the social media platform were outraged and the Greek players received a torrent of replies saying he was detached from real life, as some pointed out the obvious…they needed a salary to put food on the table for their families.

Others stressed that he would never have to work eight hours a day in his life while advising him to think more before posting something.

One user wondered if he had hit his head on a racket while another wondered “why does he continue and do this?”

“Celebrities should not give advice to everyday people. You are so disconnected from reality that we go through every day. Do you think that everyone can afford to leave a job that they do not like? No. This is our reality,” wrote another user.

 

Your salary is the bribe they give you to forget your aspirations.
