Greek Minister of Finance Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis after the latest ” misunderstandings” made a statement on the matter and spoke very highly of Mr. Lazaridi.

After he informed the Prime Minister and the Deputy Minister of governments negotiations with Troika, the Minister of Finance stated that:” The relationship between me and Mr. Lazaridis are great”

He further confirmed that Mr. Lazaridis was present at the meeting of Samaras – Venizelos Hardouvelis as well, while he added to the cameras  that ” Mr. Lazaridis “is a remarkable man with profound knowledge of numbers and he is always welcome”, giving that way a ” vote of confidence” to the State MP and confidential adviser of Mr. Antonis Samaras.

Reportedly, State MP Chrysanthos Lazaridis during a conversation noted that he was not turned away from Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis office.

By noting the above, the close associate of the Greek Prime Minister refutes yesterdays published rumors made after the completion of the meeting, that his presence at the meeting between the Minister of Finance and Troika became the cause of dispute amongst the government partners, since Mr. Venizelos seems to have complained strongly of his appearance there.

According to sources of Mr. Lazaridis environment, yesterdays reports were in no way random at all, while he believes that he is being targeted with comments made around his name referring to an article  of Deutsche Welle.

In the meantime, a virus infection that the Minister of Finance has since yesterday, made him unable to go to his office this morning. Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis appeared in the Ministry at five in the afternoon.

A fact which makes clear that he did not meet with Mr. Lazaridis at all.
