According to an announcement by the University of Athens, Minister of Education Mr. Antreas Loverdos decided to enhance its financing as follows:
-1.400.000 euro for covering operating expenses for 2014
-290.000 euro to cover operating expenses for 2014 of the Eginition University Hospital
-380.000 euro to cover the operating expenses for 2014 of the Aretaieiou University Hospital
-1.500 euro to cover the payroll of temporary teaching staff for the year 2014
-550.000 euro to cover the costs of feeding for the year 2014
The Ministry of Education stated that the aid funding to the University of Athens constitutes the remaining 10% of the approved budget for 2014, which, however was still pending to be paid to the University.
