Bad weather Daniel: The Athens-Thessaloniki highway closed in Larissa on both directions – Watch video

The Larissa Police Department has issued a complete suspension of all traffic on the P.A.TH.E. Motorway in both -2- traffic streams

The Athens-Thessaloniki highway is closed in both directions from the Nikaia junction to the border of Larissa and Magnesia due to the bad weather Daniel.

The Regional Police Directorate of Thessaly has decided to stop the traffic on the PATHE motorway, at the height of Nice, Larissa, up to the borders of Magnesia, due to the water that has reached the road surface. According to lamianow.gr, there are drivers and passengers of vehicles that are immobilized.

A. POLICE DIRECTORATE OF LARISSA

The Larissa Police Department has issued a complete suspension of all traffic on the P.A.TH.E. Motorway in both -2- traffic streams (to Athens & to Thessaloniki), from the A / K Nikaia (χ.θ. 348 + 106) to χ.θ. 321+580 (border between Larissa and Magnesia)

– Vehicles traveling on the P.A.TH.E. in the direction of Athens will be diverted at the Nikaia A/K and via the Trikala ring road will enter the Larissa – Trikala Highway and then the E-65 motorway.

-Stopping of all vehicles on the National Road Larissa – Farsala in both (2) traffic streams from the boundaries of the Municipal Community of Nikaia (8+000 km) to Farsala.
-Suspension of the traffic on the Provincial Road Achilleio – Kalamaki from the boundaries of the Local Community of Achilleio to the boundaries of the Local Community of Kalamaki.
-Suspension of the traffic on the entire road network of the Municipality of Farsala.
-Suspension of the trafficon the provincial road of Larissa – Karditsa, from the intersection of Koilada (x/th 12+000) to the border with the Regional Unit of Karditsa (x/th 23+000).
-Suspension of the traffic on the highway Larissa – Volos, from the roundabout Platykambos (x/th 08+140) to the borders with the Regional Unit of Magnesia (x/th 33+640) &
-Suspension of the traffic on the road network of the Municipality of Killar.
-Suspension of the traffic in both directions on the road network on the provincial road of Ayokambos – Kokkinou Nero, from the height of the bridge “Kalatrava” to the D/section of the Coastal road with boundaries Sotiritsa (pumping station DEYA).

In addition, traffic has been temporarily suspended at the following points:

-on the provincial road Koutsoupia – Karitsa, within the settlement of Kokkinou Nero,
-on the Gonnoi – Elia provincial road, in the area of Kocchia Koutopiusa, in the village of Kocchia Koutopiusa, in the village of Kocchia Koutopiusa, in the centre of the village of Kocchia Koutopiusa,
-on the provincial road of Kalochori towards D.A.K.,
-in the provincial road Mesangala – Kouloura & -in the provincial road Mesangala – Kouloura
-on the East Side Road P.A.T.E. Makrychori – Evangelismos (height of the SEA Evangelismos).

Β. POLICE DIRECTORATE OF MAGNESIA

-Suspension of the traffic flow towards Athens, from km 321+580 (boundary of Magnesia – Larissa prefecture) and up to km 274+620 (Sourpi junction) &
-stopping of all vehicles on the traffic flow towards Thessaloniki, from crossing 261+580 (boundary of Magnesia – Fthiotida prefecture) and up to crossing 321+580 (boundary of Magnesia – Larissa prefecture).

The traffic of vehicles is prohibited:

-in the wider area of the city of Volos &
-in the mountainous area of Pelion.

The traffic of vehicles has been temporarily stopped:

-on Larissa Street, in Volos, in both -2- traffic streams, from the roundabout with Athens Avenue to its intersection with the Volos Regional Road, -as well as on its continuation (National Road Volos – Larissa), while the traffic stop was lifted on the section of the National Road Volos – Larissa from the junction of Sesklou to the height of the PEB,
-on the Rizomylou – Kanalia provincial road, from its junction with the Larissa – Volos PEO to the village of Kanalia,
-the Volos – Kanalia provincial road, from Melissatika to the village of Kanalia,
-the provincial road from Agia to Volos, from the village of Kanalia to the border of the prefecture of Magnesia to the village of Kalamaki in the prefecture of Larissa,
-on the provincial road of Stefanovikio – Megalo Monastiri, from the junction with the Volos – Larissa highway, at the height of Stefanovikio to the village of Megalo Monastiri,
-on the provincial road Velestinou – Mikro Perivolaki from the village of Chloe to the border of the prefecture of Magnesia towards the village of Agrokipio,
-in the Larissa-Volos motorway from the junction with the village of Chloe to the village of Stefanovikio &
-the suspension of traffic on the road network of the island of Skiathos, except in the areas of Agia Paraskevi – Troulos – Platanias, where a total traffic suspension is still in force.

Γ. TRIKALA POLICE DIRECTORATE

The circulation of all vehicles is prohibited on the entire road network of the Regional Unit of Trikala, with the exception of the part of the road network connecting the Regional Units of Ioannina and Grevena with the Regional Unit of Larissa, i.e:

– the National Road Ioannina – Trikala – Larissa &
-the National Road of Grevena – Mourgkani, the National Road of Ioannina – Trikala – Larissa

D. KARDITSA POLICE DIRECTORATE

The traffic of all vehicles is prohibited throughout the prefecture of Karditsa, with the exception of traffic on the E-65 Motorway along the entire length of the area of responsibility of the Karditsa Police Directorate.

Excluded:

(a) road assistance vehicles

(b) emergency vehicles
