An alarm was raised by the police authorities as a man went to the info box of the airport “El. Venizelos” and said that a plane that had taken off from Tel Aviv en route to come to Athens had a bomb.

The man has been arrested and is being questioned by the authorities. The aircraft has landed on the runway and officers and special dogs from the Department of Explosive Devices Disposal have arrived on the tarmac where the aircraft is landed parked in order to check the area.
